Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: August 23, 2026
At Hassan Gul Web Architecture, I am committed to delivering enterprise-grade code and architecture. Because of the bespoke and time-intensive nature of software engineering, all sales and deposits are subject to this Refund and Cancellation Policy.
1. Project Deposits & Milestones
For custom development projects, the initial deposit (typically 50% of the total project fee) secures your position in my development schedule. This deposit is non-refundable once architectural planning or development work has commenced.
If you choose to cancel a project before any work has begun, a refund minus a 10% administrative and processing fee may be issued at my discretion.
2. Monthly Engineering Retainers
Monthly retainers secure a block of my dedicated hours exclusively for your project. Retainer payments are billed at the beginning of each month and are non-refundable.
You may cancel your retainer subscription at any time to prevent future billing. Cancellation requires a 14-day written notice before the next billing cycle. Unused hours do not roll over to the next month unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
3. Digital Products & Courses
Due to the immediate access nature of digital downloads, boilerplates, and online courses, these purchases are strictly non-refundable unless otherwise required by consumer law in your jurisdiction.
4. Scope Creep & Revisions
Refunds are not issued for delays or dissatisfaction resulting from "scope creep" (requests for features not outlined in the initial approved architectural spec). Additional requirements will be quoted separately.
5. Contact Information
If you have questions about this policy or need to discuss a cancellation, please email me at [email protected] or reach out via the contact form on the homepage.
